Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor as well as producer and director. Her name has been acknowledged for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. She won several awards including an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. At a young age she began acting on stage in various Broadway or Off Broadway productions. Acting has always been her love of life. In fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original play. Her mumps left her deaf and blind in one ear. However, she didn't let this to stop her from becoming an actor. She was a drama major at the college after which she moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City to follow her goals. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut following an unplanned conversation and Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. After moving to Los Angeles she tried to find film roles, and was able to secure a supporting role for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in a variety of shows and TV films throughout a span of more than 30 years. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
